East Greenbush, NY — April 5, 2019 — Datto, Inc., the world’s leading provider of IT solutions delivered through Managed Service Providers (MSPs), today unveiled its new office in East Greenbush, New York with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception hosting local business owners, officials, and Datto employees. Datto is a global technology provider with 22 offices across 9 countries and more than 1,500 employees. The company’s East Greenbush presence goes back to 2001 as the former Autotask global headquarters. In December of 2017, Autotask merged with Datto, operating subsequently as Datto.

Datto serves IT experts called MSPs who manage the IT infrastructure of small and medium-sized businesses. “SMB businesses today are faced with an increasingly complex business environment, but often don’t have the time or resources to spend on IT management,” said Scott Joralemon, President at PNJ Technology Partners in Albany. “Datto provides us with top-of-the-line technology, and we then provide it to our SMB clients to ensure they are operating as efficiently as possible and protected from cyber risks like ransomware.”

Datto’s East Greenbush office employs more than 165 staff in engineering, partner success, sales, marketing, finance, and technical support. Datto also has a location in Rochester, New York that opened in 2014 with just 20 employees and is now home to more than 275 employees. All together, Datto’s New York employees account for nearly 30% of the company’s global workforce. Datto has more than 30 open positions at their New York offices and has hired more than 160 employees since the start of 2018.

“Rensselaer County is proud to be home to technology companies like Datto that bring great opportunity to the area,” said Rensselaer County Executive Steven McLaughlin. “We congratulate Datto on the opening of their new office and appreciate their continued commitment to a strong presence in Rensselaer County.”

Datto’s new high-tech, open concept office space in East Greenbush offers employees arcade games, a pool table, ping pong table, Rubik’s Cube wall, free catered lunches every Friday and unlimited beverages and snacks. Fitness benefits, comprehensive parental leave policies, and a wealth of other benefits are among some of the reasons that Datto’s workplace culture has been celebrated in both Rochester and the Capital Region with 24 wins in New York Best Places to Work and Top Places to Work competitions.
