The Endpoint Management Engineer will be a member of the team responsible for the oversight, operation, maintenance, and security of the entire end-user fleet of devices at Datto. These devices include employee laptops, desktops, and mobile devices running a range of Operating Systems. As well as maintaining secure procedures and policies that protect Datto’s information from internal and external threats.  All while keeping the highest level of productivity for the end-user. Furthermore, this position is required to have an high level of knowledge on current and future technologies pertaining to endpoint management that includes but are not limited to RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management), Anti-Virus Software, Encryption Software, Authentication Techniques/Design, VPN Software, Imaging/Provisioning methods, Inventory Tracking Utilities, Task Automation (i.e. PowerShell, Bash, Python Scripting).

Desired  Skills:

  • The ability to work unsupervised on complex programs with minimal direction.
  • The ability to communicate project plans, feasibility, and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration.
  • The ability to perform cost analyses on possible new technologies and to evaluate potential business impact.
  • Must work closely with Security and Network Engineering when rolling out new processes, technologies, and applications to ensure secure and productive end-user experiences.
  • Must be able to triage complex issues and be aware of a multitude of security threats/attack surfaces.

Desired  Technology Experience:

  • RMM/MDM/EMM Software Experience: SCCM, Intune, Jamf, Google Workspace.
  • Scripting Languages: PowerShell, Bash, Python.
  • Anti-Virus Software: CarbonBlack.
  • Encryption Software: Bitlocker, FileVault.
  • VPN Software: GlobalProtect.
  • Operating Systems: Windows, MacOS, Ubuntu, Fedora, Android, iOS
  • Virtualization Software: Virt-Manager, VMWare, Hyper-V.
  • Infrastructure: Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Okta, DHCP, DNS, ADCS
  • Collaboration Stack: Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, MS Office.
