The Opportunity!

Deliver industry leading partner engagement activities for Datto ANZ as the Channel Development Lead. With your deep understanding of the SMB IT channel market, you will play a pivotal role in educating, energising and nurturing relationships with current and potential MSP partners. Whether you're on the road or on the screen - providing value to our partners will be at the heart of your everyday.

A Look Inside the Job:

  • Represent Datto ANZ at face-to-face and virtual partner events -  including, roadshows, trade shows, workshops, training sessions, user groups, and networking/industry events
  • Drive awareness of Datto’s partner programme, MDF and rich library of partner resources
  • Keep abreast of market trends with a continuous focus on developing meaningful thought leadership content 
  • Educate partners on how to effectively present Datto solutions to their prospects and current customers
  • Work alongside the Channel Development Coordinator, local Sales and Marketing leadership and global Business Development teams to plan, localise and execute memorable partner events and activities 
  • Help partners develop opportunities with existing customers and new prospects
  • Attend and participate in team calls with sales team
  • Own and drive relationship with Product and Partner Management team to ensure alignment
  • Present on behalf of Datto and partners when appropriate
  • Prepare and present a quarterly business territory plan, including but not limited to; industry event and roadshow execution, alongside the Channel Engagement team
  • Work toward local and global sales revenue targets

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience working with or for Value Added Resellers / Managed Service Providers
  • A deep rooted understanding of the SMB channel market across ANZ
  • A natural ability to engage, inspire and educate audiences of both small and large (1000+ seat) scale
  • Imagination, energy and a genuine interest in software as demonstrated through your propensity to showcase ideas through social channels and think up bold new ideas
  • Prior experience in building and executing a strategic account plan both deep and wide across an organisation
  • Collaborative by nature with a passion for building a healthy company culture 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain C level partner relationships
  • Ability to create partner plans with proven experience in execution of strategies
  • Experience presenting to large audiences of prospective VARs and MSPs as well as end customers

  • Leadership experience in direct sales, business development, or strategic partnership development
  • Experience operating in a recurring revenue sales model
