Your clients remain always connected. No matter what. Eliminate downtime caused by internet outages with fully integrated 4G LTE Internet failover and more
The Datto Networking Appliance was purpose-built for the MSP to deliver always connected Internet, firewall, edge router and other security features for the small to medium sized business.
Ever Expanding Feature Set
The Datto Networking Appliance features an 8 core processor, 8GB of RAM, a 32GB solid state hard drive and an ever expanding feature set all configured from the Datto Partner Portal.
Since its initial launch, the Datto Networking Appliance has continued to add new features and capabilities directly influenced by MSP feedback. These features include: Dynamic DNS, DHCP Reservations, Remote Power Cycle, Whitelist / Blacklist for Web filters, Client VPN - IKEv2 Support, Client VPN - OpenVPN (SSL), Site to Site (DNA to DNA, DNA to non-DNA - IPSec, Hub and Spoke - supporting DNA and non-DNAs), 1:1 NAT, 1:Many NAT, Layer 7 (DPI) and VLAN Tagging.
4G LTE Failover and Failback
If your customer loses its primary Internet connection, the blame game often points back to the MSP, even if you had nothing to do with the outage. That’s just the nature of managed services.
Now, if your customer loses its primary Internet connection, the Datto Networking Appliance will automatically failover to the 4G LTE network. When the main connection comes back online, the appliance automatically fails back. It’s seamless to the customer, and eliminates a huge problem for you.
No contract, No overages
No contracts. No tracking data usage. No charges for overages.
With an edge router, firewall, intrusion detection and prevention combined with the fully integrated 4G LTE Internet failover, the Datto Networking Appliance delivers everything you need to deploy a network for your small- to medium-sized clients.
Network Edge Router
The Datto Networking Appliance delivers advanced routing capabilities such as layer 7 deep packet inspection (DPI), NATing rules and client/site-to-site VPN functionality. Built for performance and with room to grow, the appliance continues to provide more advanced routing features. It’s an ever-growing platform that delivers what you need.
The stateful firewall built into the Datto Networking Appliance will defeat unwanted cyber attacks like ransomware. Incorporating advanced security features such as stateful packet inspection, layer 7 DPI, port forwarding, DMZ host, and VLAN segregation, the appliance delivers peace of mind for you while protecting your clients’ networks.
With six 10/100/1000 I/O ports (2 WAN and 4 LAN), 3x3 MIMO 802.11ac WiFi, and fully integrated, multi-band CAT4 radio for 4G LTE failover and failback, the Datto Networking Appliance includes all of the connectivity you need.
External Antenna Accessory
The Datto Networking Appliance comes fully equipped with three WiFi and two 4G LTE antennas. But as many networking appliances are physically located in a back room, in a closet or simply “out of the way,” there are scenarios where the location of the appliance can cause interference and negatively affect the appliance’s ability to connect to the LTE network. To remedy this situation, Datto provides an optional, external antenna. This additional antenna support creates more flexibility and options for you to deploy the Datto Networking Appliance, and improves connectivity, even in low signal environments.
With throughput speeds of up to 1.7 Gbps, the Datto Networking Appliance delivers high performance, advanced routing capabilities such as layer 7 deep packet inspection (DPI), NATing rules and client/site-to-site VPN functionality.
Whether it’s Client VPN (IPSec, IKEv2 and OpenVPN) or Site to Site VPN (DNA to DNA, DNA to non-DNA, Hub & Spoke), Datto Networking is committed to delivering robust VPN support to you and your clients.
Layer 7 Deep Packet Inspection
The Datto Networking Appliance performs application (layer 7) deep packet inspection for all traffic passing through the router. This deep level of analysis enables the appliance to categorize traffic by application, and lays the groundwork for enhanced layer 7 features and capabilities.
The Datto Networking Appliance features Traffic Shaping, enabling you to determine what applications require precedence (such as VoIP) to ensure those applications have enough bandwidth to function in an uninterrupted mode.
Configuration settings and ongoing management of the Datto Networking Appliance begins in the cloud.
Datto Partner Portal
The Datto Partner Portal is where you can go to configure and manage the Datto Networking Appliance.
Accessed directly from the Datto Partner Portal, you can monitor all networks and connected client devices in a single multi-tenant view. Networking Status enables at-a-glance views of all Datto Networking deployments with simple visual cues of a device's’ connection status, including if the device is in failover mode.
Drill-Down Configuration Management
Using cloud-driven deployments, you quickly get clients up and running. It starts with the Datto’s Networking Management with it’s toggle driven, drill-down configuration options. Setting up network configurations takes a matter of minutes, not hours or days. All that’s left is to plug in the networking devices. Simple, rapid deployment born in the cloud.
