NORWALK, CT – Datto Inc., an award-winning provider of hardware based on-site and off-site backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions has been named to the Marcum Tech Top 40.

This annual list is a compilation of the 40 fastest growing technology companies in Connecticut. Selection was based on the percentage revenue growth over three years from 2008 to 2011. Datto has grown exponentially since its launch in 2007, increasing its partner base to include more than 4,000 VAR, MSP and IT Service Providers across North America and Europe.

Datto’s Founder and CEO, Austin McChord, credits Datto’s industry leading technology and a passionate staff for the company’s 5,554% revenue growth from 2008-2011. “Datto started in a basement in 2007 and we had no idea it would grow into the organization it is today. We’ve come a long way in the past four years and overcome many obstacles,” said McChord. “We firmly believe we are just getting started on our mission to provide the world’s best backup and disaster recovery solutions for our partners, and look forward to continued growth.“

To qualify for the Marcum Tech Top 40, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2008 and $3,000,000 in 2011; be headquartered in Connecticut; own proprietary technology or intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of the company’s operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology.
