NORWALK, CT, April 30, 2013 – Datto, Inc., an award-winning provider of hardware-based on- and off-site backup, disaster recovery (BDR) and intelligent business continuity (IBC) solutions, is pleased to announce the winners of the first Datto Partner Rockstar Awards. The new reward program aims to inspire business growth and recognize the progress many Datto Partners achieve throughout the calendar year. This first set of awards recognizes outstanding performance in Q1 2013. “Our Partners are an integral part of the Datto family,” said Austin McChord, Founder & CEO of Datto. “This first set of awards demonstrates the success they are having in helping us spread SIRIS across the market, and now that ALTO has launched we expect the next round of written submissions and winning scenarios to demonstrate an even wider range of achievement and inspiration.”

The Metrics Awards

All Datto Partners were automatically entered for the metric based awards. Datto pulled data from its internal systems to determine the winners in each category.

New Rockstar on the Block

This company sold the most appliances overall in their first three months as a Datto Partner. Flexible Systems of Hauppauge, NY provides IT support, IT services, computer support, IT consulting, computer repair, printer repair and Internet marketing services.

Revenue Rockstar

This Datto Partner had the most total sales, in U.S. dollars, in a given quarter. Flexible Systems of Hauppauge, NY.

Fastest Growing Partner

This Datto Partner achieved the largest percentage of overall growth in a given quarter. Milner, Inc. of Norcross, GA is a full-service IT solutions and services provider.

The Superlative Awards

Written submissions were required for the superlative awards and were reviewed and judged by Datto’s management staff.

Superior Service

This Datto Partner went above and beyond the call of duty for their client. EssentiaLink of Westminster, CO, provides strategic IT solutions to offices across the United States. The Company utilizes technology to solve operational issues for their clients in order to reduce risks, increase efficiencies, lower costs and free up working capital for their businesses.

Winning Scenario: An EssentiaLink client had virtualized servers running on storage area networks (SANs). The SAN had snapshotting so the client assumed their data was protected. With the best interest of their client in mind, EssentiaLink was persistent for almost a year, constantly highlighting things that could go wrong where the SAN could not help.

Q1 2013 winners exhibited growth in revenue and sales and demonstrated superior service and business continuity guidance for their clients Due to a power outage, the client’s HA functionality on their SANs broke. A total of 18 servers were destroyed. Using the Datto SIRIS S10000, EssentiaLink was able to virtualize the critical servers immediately and began exporting the virtual hard disk files to the client’s SAN for the other servers. EssentiaLink was able to minimize the client’s loss to about 15 minutes of production data and save over a month’s worth of data.

Business Continuity Champion

This Datto Partner successfully conveyed the value of business continuity and persuaded a client to change backup solutions. Business Technology Partners, LLP of Deerfield, IL, is a full-service technology company with more than 25 years of experience serving the small-medium business market. BT Partners range of services includes the sale and support of ERP business software; performance management tools; network and infrastructure assessments; web, e-commerce and application development; and related project management services.

Winning Scenario: A BT Partners client with a virtual server infrastructure was considering implementing an alternative BDR solution to Datto SIRIS. BT Partners worked closely with their Datto Sales Executive to create a competitive analysis and was able to clearly explain the technical and pricing advantages of Datto SIRIS. Furthermore, BT Partners showed the client the Datto SIRIS device and system that they use in their own offices (genius!). Once the client saw the ease of management, speed of restoration, and the ability to access numerous restore points, he made the decision to implement Datto SIRIS.
