Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing Operations in Datto’s Go-to-Marketing organization, we are looking for a high-energy, results-oriented Marketing Analyst Manager with experience mining, modeling, and communicating insights to drive the effectiveness of Datto’s marketing campaigns and increase profitability. This involves determining key performance indicators and establishing both internal and industry-vetted benchmarks. The Marketing Analyst Manager must possess technical skills, as well as Marketing savvy, communication, and presentation skills to glean insights and tell the 'story' of the data.

Our ideal candidate holds a degree in computer science, data analytics (preferred), or digital marketing, and is comfortable working across departments -- collaborative capabilities are a must. The Marketing Analyst Manager needs to be able to develop and foster professional relationships both within the Marketing Operations team and across the entire company. The Marketing Analyst Manager must value these relationships and invest the time necessary to cultivate them. Datto will look for the Marketing Analytics Manager to be an analytical master with stellar critical thinking and management skills and -- in light of the ever-changing technical landscape -- the candidate must be forward-thinking and willing to embrace change.

A Look Inside the Job:

  • Analyzes external and internal Partner data using database queries, spreadsheet models (GSheets/Excel), web analytics tools (Google), statistical analysis tools, and campaign management software tools
  • Creates PowerPoint presentations to provide insights to other marketing and sales departments
  • Advises other marketing functions (website, online/offline advertising, brand, product development) as the knowledge owner for Partner and market data
  • Advise clients or senior management on the best ways to use provided data
  • Provides actionable overall market and customer insights to address key strategic questions
  • Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of marketing activities, ad-hoc analytic requests, and development/automation of regular reports
  • Providing insights on marketing campaign performance and return on investment
  • Creating and monitoring reporting dashboards
  • Developing and maintaining client databases
  • Collaborating with other teams to implement new systems and tracking
  • Mentoring, leading, or managing (directly or indirectly) teams of analytics professionals

About You:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, data analytics (preferred), or digital marketing
  • 5+ years of work experience in marketing research and statistical or data analysis
  • Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills and a high degree of business acumen
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in advanced analytic and statistical techniques related multivariate and A/B testing, the various Marketing attribution models, customer segmentation, and marketing effectiveness
  • Experience building and automating management level reporting
  • Proficiency in Google suite preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM system
  • Experience with accessing, manipulating, and downloading data
  • Experience with Tableau and data visualization
  • Experience in statistical analysis (SAS or R)
