This Global Vendor Alliances Manager position is responsible for growing and developing Datto partnerships within the technology vendor channel, worldwide.  This position will be responsible for formulating these partnerships in order to sell sponsorships for Datto hosted events, plan co-marketing programs to generate new sales leads, and increase our integration alliances to give our product users the best overall experience. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Nurture and further develop relationships with current vendor alliances 
  • Target and recruit new vendors into the program
  • Setting and meeting global sponsorship sales quotas for the above mentioned activities
  • Create and execute co marketing plans with strategic vendor partners 
  • Tracking the leads generated and other success metrics from co marketing plans
  • Establish sponsorship costs, benefits packages, and tiers for all available sponsorships 
  • Travel to trade shows for face to face vendor meetings 
  • Maintain constant communication with business development team members to ensure our sponsorship offerings continue to be attractive to vendor partners. 
  • Create, maintain, and continue to approve the Datto Developer Program

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5 plus years of experience in a channel development function
  • Demonstrated experience working with or for a technology software or hardware organization
  • Leadership experience in Direct Sales, Business Development, or Strategic Partnership development
  • Prior experience in building and executing a strategic account plan both deep and wide across an organization
  • Proven time management skills in a dynamic sales environment
  • Good Microsoft office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills: written and spoken
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to handle various tasks; attention to detail
  • Solid hunting skills with the confidence to secure high value partners
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain C level partner relationships
  • Ability to create partner plans with proven experience in execution of strategies
  • Must be able to work well with others as part of a team
  • Experience presenting to large audiences of prospective VARs and MSPs as well as end customers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Salesforce.com for opportunity management, activity tracking, and reporting
  • Experience in the business continuity space
  • Education/Licensing/Certification: 4 year degree in Business or equivalent experience
  • Travel: Up to 25%
