We are currently seeking a Operations Technician who would report directly to the Associate Manager, Workforce Solutions. This person must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced, always changing environment. Successful candidates must be self-starters with strong verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, organized, and motivated to work in a “roll up your sleeves” atmosphere.

A Look Inside the Job:

  • Assist with day to day technical and facilities operation
  • Communicate with building management and maintenance staff to ensure Datto's needs are met in a timely fashion
  • Oversee and execute the upkeep of office kitchen/facilities appliances as needed
  • Provide support for Albany team organization (desk adjustment/installation, seating, badge assignment) and communicate with corporate management to keep up with space availability and needs
  • Respond to purchasing/inventory requests promptly
  • Compare, evaluate, and implement new technologies, and integrate systems into the computing environment
  • Assist with office moves and setups
  • Setup and maintain employee workstations
  • Manage and set up A/V systems
  • Manage administrative tasks (Shipping/Receiving/Inventory/Data Entry/Asset Tracking, etc.)
  • Participate in hardware, software, A/V, and other user support as requested and/or needed
  • Provide creative solutions for day-to-day problems
  • Create clear self-help documents for the end users and document systems infrastructure for support staff
  • Thoroughly document routine and non-routine issues for other subject matter experts to address the issue expeditiously
  • Able to be on-call for emergencies on rotating weekends

About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience with a similar position.
  • Degree in Business or Information Technology preferred
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Successful candidates must possess excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic Windows and Mac OS application knowledge and troubleshooting skills Jira (or equivalent) ticket systems experience
  • Familiarity with iOffice or similar Office Space/Asset Management program experience preferred
  • Structured cabling and low voltage wiring knowledge is a bonus
  • Some travel may be required
  • Ability to lift over 50lbs
