Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager will perform a variety of procure-to-pay duties in primary support of the Procurement department. This individual will work closely with Datto internal stakeholders to ensure supported teams are supplied with required goods and services; as well as ensure compliance with P2P guidelines, policies, and approved internal controls.
This position reports to the Director of Procurement.

A Look Inside the Job:

• Adhere to the Procurement policy and program procedures.
• Review proposals for new and existing projects in a timely manner
• Identify opportunities and strategies to minimize expenses by identifying the best possible vendors with the most reasonable price.
• Develop, analyze, and report on purchasing metrics, creating standard and ad hoc reports.
• Maintain frequent interaction with assigned stakeholders/teams to discuss planned and existing requirements
• Maintain relationship and communication with vendors and stakeholders
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions, alongside Datto Legal team, with respective suppliers.
• Review all purchase order requests and monitor shipments
• Resolve supplier issues as they arise.
• Maintain and update vendor database and contact information.
• Recommend changes to the purchasing process as needed
• Enforce purchasing policies and procedures

Abilities:

• Familiarity with procurement practices, preferably within SaaS and Professional Services. Direct Procurement is a Plus
• RFx, vendor assessment, negotiations, and purchase orders
• Familiarity with contract terms
• Contract review, redlines, and negotiation
• Ability to express ideas and convey information effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workloads and deadlines
• Must possess outstanding research and analysis skills
• Must possess excellent English oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity and comfort in a customer service role.

Skills:

• Familiarity with procurement practices, preferably within SaaS and Professional Services. Direct Procurement is a Plus

• Familiarity with contract terms

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 or more years’ experience in procurement/purchasing or strongly related field.
• Strong organization skills with ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with Google Suite, Visio or Lucidchart, and PowerPoint
