The Inventory Supervisor position is responsible for supervising the inventory team. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. The inventory Supervisor will direct inventory management. You will oversee the execution of day-to-day inventory operations, inventory variances, picking, and cycle counts to ensure all inventory processes are running smoothly and promptly.

The Inventory Supervisor is part of the leadership team within the Supply Chain Operations Department and reports directly to the Manager of Supply Chain.

A Look Inside the Job:

  • Accomplishes inventory staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilizes ERP system to conduct inventory transactions.
  • Utilizes reporting tools to identify control deficiencies and enact procedures to minimize inventory losses.
  • Attends daily production meetings and provides departmental updates.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Compiles inventory control records, and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and need for replenishment.
  • Coordinates all physical inventories and cycle counts.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all orders being picked efficiently.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google suites
  • Experience managing inventory
  • Experience leading team members
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift)
