As a member of the Data & Analytics team, the Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will use advanced technical and business knowledge to enhance our capability to analyze and “make sense” of large sets of data and translate findings in a visually appealing manner that tell a story and help us make better data driven decisions. Working with the Technical Support team, define and track KPIs, benchmarks and aid in identifying and measuring successful and failing strategies. Sr BI Analyst will be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvement, understanding emerging BI tools and processes, supporting operational reporting, creating dashboards, and using advanced statistical skills to perform ad-hoc analysis.This role requires candidates to have an understanding of Tableau, or similar BI tools, as well as proven experience in modeling, forecasting, and data mining using Python and SQL. This position will also work with other departments to aid in the creation and management of data sources and users, fostering a sense of self-service analytics and providing strategic aid on company projects.

The Senior BI Analyst will need to combine several disparate data sources, from common RDBMS systems to cloud-based data warehouses. An ideal candidate will be one that is able to be creative and organized when working with highly complex datasets. While also being able to convey complex statistics at scale through dashboarding, presentations, or effective training.


A Look Inside the Job:

  • Serves as a business partner for their stakeholders. Providing recommendations, next best actions, and potential risks for their decisions by using data
  • Designs, implements, and improves executive level reporting, dashboards, and data sources for the Technical Support Department
  • Creates and maintains complex analysis and reporting models across the business - working with the team to help provide accuracy, validity, and reliability in our models
  • Identify processes to aid in the collection and analysis of data.
  • Effectively disseminate results of analysis to appropriate teams/leadership and be available to support follow up projects. Be a leader in discussions around trends in Tech Support data.
  • Self-direct and prioritize incoming requests for analysis projects


About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field preferred (Statistics, Math, Computer Science, etc.)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Business Intelligence team, or similar reporting function
  • In-depth knowledge of databases such as MySQL & MSSQL, experience with cloud-based solutions such as Snowflake & Redshift a plus
  • Excellent analytical and forecasting ability using tools such as Python
  • Advanced Tableau experience (or similar software)
  • Some advanced analytics skills such as AI/ML highly preferred
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proven ability to use data, analytics, and business knowledge to solve business problems.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
