The Reality of a Digital Workforce: Security is Even More Important
Mobile workers will account for 72% of the U.S. workforce by 2020, according to IDC research. That stat is a good reminder to technology service providers to plan now for how to protect and control a roaming IT estate.
Today’s businesses are now inherently digital. They’re implementing more systems and using more applications to manage their day-to-day operations, share critical information and complete vital tasks. As they use different devices, operating systems, back-end systems, apps and even different types of connectivity, they generate and exchange a surplus of data.
But all these different data sources also present risk: They have potential flaws and vulnerabilities that make businesses easy targets for cybercriminals and ransomware.
You need to ensure your clients (and their data) are protected every step of the way. Most of all, you need to have the processes in place to successfully restore data should an attack occur.
