Today, Datto announced the development of an integration solution with Intel featuring, the Intel vPro® platform with Intel® Active Management Technology (Intel® AMT) and Intel® Endpoint Management Assistant (Intel® EMA) solutions.

The combination of Datto RMM and Intel ® EMA, enables our customers to now have a direct capability from Datto RMM to remotely and more securely, control devices “out-of-band”. Meaning it allows remote manageability when the hardware is powered off or the operating system is unresponsive. This introduces a level of access to support endpoints MSPs would otherwise struggle to achieve using traditional remote-control tools.

Datto RMM is the leading cloud-based platform for MSPs to manage and support their clients’ devices remotely. The introduction of HTML5 based Web Remote control in 2019 has been helping partners to rapidly connect to their end-client devices using only a web browser, vastly improving the responsiveness of the front-line technical engineers. There are cases, however, when the end-client device’s operating system is unresponsive or is powered off, resulting in the tech having to resort to more creative ways of establishing a connection.

Datto software engineers collaborated with Intel to leverage Datto RMM’s powerful components to build the integration. MSPs are now able to survey their managed estates to identify every Windows device with the Intel vPro® platform that includes Intel® Active Management Technology (Intel® AMT), and then generate a unique link into Intel® Endpoint Management Assistant. This creates an efficient workflow empowering MSP technicians to initiate remote power-on and hardware-based KVM (Keyboard - Video - Mouse) sessions in EMA to AMT enabled endpoints directly from a Datto RMM device page.

Join Datto and Intel for a live webinar on March 4, 2020, at 11:00 AM (ET), where the details of this exciting new integration will be revealed. During the webinar attendees will learn:

  • How to manage Intel vPro® enabled devices using Intel Active Management Technology and Intel Endpoint Management Assistant
  • Tips to improve remote support for out-of-band devices directly from Datto RMM
  • Practical use cases from an MSP using this innovative capability
  • Opportunities offered by Intel’s Technology Activation Programs
