The criteria focused on product performance and value provided for businesses, and “seeks to recognize those offerings that have proved to be reliable, cost effective and easy to adopt”.
The judges wanted to understand not only what the product does, but also how it is different from the competition. Luckily, SIRIS 3 has a number of game-changing technologies, including automatic ransomware detection and recovery, a Mac agent, diskless restore, and newly upgraded hardware. This is in addition to core Datto innovations, including backup insights, Advanced Screenshot Verification and Instant Virtualization.
Instant Virtualization saved retailer Mandarin Stone nearly $250,000 (£200,000) in lost revenue when their server went down in 2015 – which is equivalent to a 95% reduction in their downtime costs prior to Datto.
Plus, our Partners benefit too; Steve Stokes, Head of Account Management at TaylorMade commented, "We are in the process of displacing a legacy Cloud backup vendor with Datto SIRIS 3; so far, we've saved 50% on our support team’s hourly overheads."
Alex Hilton, CEO of CIF, said: “This is the fourth time that we have had to whittle down hundreds of outstanding entries for the UK Cloud Awards and this has been the most challenging year yet. We are seeing phenomenal innovation and truly transformational use of Cloud services. The depth, strength and maturity of the cloud industry in the UK is apparent.”
As always, Datto thanks their loyal partners for their contribution to this success.
