New Pricing, Provisioning Eases Datto SaaS Protection Administration
You asked for simplified pricing, invoicing, provisioning, and reporting—and we listened. Our latest SaaS Protection release makes it easier than ever to deliver profitable data protection services for Microsoft 365 and G Suite. We are excited to announce the following updates, effective July 1, 2020:
- Revamped, per-license pricing
- Simplified easy to understand invoices
- Aggregated view across all licenses
- Streamlined onboarding process
- Redesigned, easier to use status page
Per-license pricing and improved management
Our new per-license pricing model allows you to redeploy licenses across end clients, ensuring you’ll never pay for inactive licenses. The SaaS Protection page in the Partner Portal now offers an aggregated view across all licenses, making it fast and easy to determine the number of licenses in use, and redeploy licenses wherever needed.
New volume-based discounts, based on total licenses sold across all of your customers, make it easier to build margin on SaaS Protection services. Flexible subscription options (month-to-month vs. long term) let you select the best fit for your clients’ needs and access additional discounts on longer-term commitments. Invoicing has been simplified as well, making billing easier for you and invoices easier for clients to understand.
We understand that efficiency is the name of the game when it comes to delivering profitable managed services. That’s why we’ve streamlined onboarding and redesigned the SaaS Protection status page. Protect client SaaS data in a matter of minutes with our new click-through onboarding process.
SaaS Protection Can Build Margins
One in three users experience data loss in cloud applications like Microsoft 365 and Google G Suite. And yet, some organizations still don’t understand that SaaS data is as vulnerable to data loss as on-premises data. Datto SaaS Protection, enables you to protect clients against accidental or malicious deletion, ransomware attacks, and other cloud data loss.
Today, many Datto Partners simply bundle in SaaS Protection with their Microsoft or G Suite services. In other words, SaaS backup isn’t a separate line item to negotiate—it’s a requirement. This approach reduces risk for both MSPs and their clients while increasing profitability.
