DattoCon: Three Days of MSP Content and Celebration

DattoCon: Three Days of MSP Content and Celebration

By Rob Rae

I joined Datto in 2013 and my first assignment was to put on a partner conference with only a few weeks to recruit and execute. That September was the beginning of our annual event, DattoCon, and one thing has been constant each year since – our partners always come first.

DattoCon is designed to deliver content that will help build the MSP business. At DattoCon and throughout the years we host events, record testimonials and survey MSPs to get feedback that we then combine into one conference each year. We do not create the content, our partners do!

With our growth over the years (merging with Backupify, OpenMesh, and Autotask) our portfolio and partner base have grown exponentially which means, more products, more partners, and more content.

We have four tracks at DattoCon: Sales and Marketing, Business Operations, Technical Channel Products, and Technical Business Management. These strategically designed sessions were curated to target every facet of the MSP business. You will not only hear from the Datto team but also hear from industry leaders and channel changers on topics to help grow your business and maximize the Datto partnership. We understand taking time out of your work week can be challenging, which is why we promise to have content for everyone attending.

For me, the highlight of the event is seeing our partners network with the Datto Staff, vendors sponsors and most importantly other like-minded MSPs. Face time is a huge value add for our event and we make sure to include plenty of time for this in our agenda.

In true Datto fashion, we like to wrap up the event with a BANG! After sitting through content for three days, it is time to celebrate our MSPs at the Datto Elements Party. This year we rented out the entire USS Midway which is walking distance from the hotel. We use this time to celebrate our partners and their dedication to Datto and the event. We could not do any of this without them after all.

From content to celebrations – Go big or go home. Am I right? Each year DattoCon gets better and bigger, and this year will be no different. Looking forward to seeing everyone in San Diego!
