Datto DRT Deploying to Assist with Hurricane Dorian
9/3/2019 UPDATE: We are suspending any immediate deployment of the DRT and reverting to normal standby.
As Hurricane Dorian continues to gather strength and approach landfall, it’s imperative to take precautions to protect your family and business.
Hurricane watches have been issued for the northwestern Bahamas, where Dorian is expected to hit Sunday as a Category 3 storm, the National Hurricane Center said. It is then forecast to roar toward the US mainland Monday evening into Tuesday morning at major-hurricane strength, though experts warn that forecasts are subject to change. The Disaster Response Team (DRT) will deploy to Atlanta, and will make their way to the affected area early next week. The truck is stocked with DNAs, access points, switches, hardware, and safety equipment to assist you and the local community. As we firm up final deployment plans, we will provide you with contact information to reach out to the team on the ground for assistance.
