By Chris Brunau

Chinese shipping company Cosco’s electronic communications were disabled after falling victim to a Windows-related ransomware attack.

The attack affected the company’s United States website, email, and phone lines. According to a statement from Cosco, the "local networking breakdown" affected its American region and they have isolated the offices while they investigate.

According to their Facebook page, the attack didn’t interrupt their shipping operations and they expect a full recovery.
