5 Reasons Why DattoCon22 Rocked (and Why You Should Plan to Attend in 2023)
DattoCon22 has just wrapped in Washington, DC. Held September 11 – 13, this amazing event was jam-packed with valuable information from vendors and industry experts, fantastic special guests and actionable insight gained from a wide array of breakout sessions. Here’s why DattoCon22 was a must attend event for industry professionals of every stripe and why you should register for DattoCon23 right now.
1. The incredible, positive energy
Excitement for the event began buzzing as soon as registration was open when MSPs, vendors and other technology professionals started meeting up with old friends and making new ones in the Exhibition Hall, and it carried into the Welcome Reception. That energy was dialed up to 11 the next morning and never died down. The speakers were bold, the displays were bright, and the conversations were loud for all three days, leaving all attendees feeling pumped about the future.
2. The speakers & presenters were insightful
We kicked off the main program on Monday with a bang. Kaseya CEO Fred Voccola started the programming by giving everyone an excellent picture of where the MSP business stands now as well as what’s next. He was followed by the much-anticipated Product Innovations Keynote showcasing innovations and integrations that Kaseya and Datto customers will enjoy in the next year. NASA engineer and YouTuber Mark Rober wrapped up the day with a look at the secret to creating viral video content. Tuesday was also high energy, starting with a security rundown featuring Kaseya CISO Jason Manar and FBI Assistant Director Bryan Vorndran and continuing through a security-focused program all day. The event wrapped up with advice and tips from renowned media and marketing expert Gary Vaynerchuk on building your brand and profiting from your LinkedIn presence.
3. The information & first looks were unbeatable
If there was one thing that attendees took away from DattoCon22, it’s the fact that a huge amount of innovation and integration is ahead for Datto and Kaseya. Presenters detailed just how those two forces will blend together to give MSPs and their customers an even more robust toolkit to get the job done in IT operations and cybersecurity. The Product Innovations Keynote featured information about upcoming integrations between Datto and Kaseya solutions while reassuring everyone that their favorite solutions aren’t going away as the two brands continue to blend. Instead, they’ll just keep getting better.
4. The exhibition hall & breakout sessions were packed with value
Time spent in the Exhibition Hall at DattoCon22 was time well spent. The hall was buzzing all three days as MSPs explored the offerings of vendors touting everything from insurance to professional training. Of course, everyone collected bags of excellent swag (fun socks were in fashion). Breakout sessions on topics ranging from cybersecurity to personnel management brought valuable insight to attendees. MSPs also gained even more value by making connections and having conversations with their peers, providing them with new perspectives on the MSP business and new ideas to take home.
5. The parties, receptions & fun
No great convention is all work and no play. Certainly not at DattoCon22. This year’s parties, receptions and entertainment didn’t disappoint. The opening cocktail reception helped everyone get acquainted in a relaxed atmosphere. Monday night’s big event was the famous MSP Block Party. This year attendees explored the Washington Nationals Stadium while enjoying karaoke, games and ballpark food favorites. The fun culminated with the marquee event of DattoCon, the Elements Party on Tuesday night – and it was a blast, featuring classic arcade games, great food and music by The Spazmatics plus a special guest appearance from DJ Diesel (Shaquille O'Neal).
As you can see, DattoCon22 was an action-packed extravaganza, filled with the professional growth, insight and connection that IT professionals need to thrive. Don’t miss out on all of the excitement and unbeatable insight at DattoCon23. Register here.
