Chief Information Security Officer

As Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Ryan leads and manages Datto's Information Security program, empowering Datto’s managed services provider (MSP) partners, and the small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) they serve, on their ongoing cyber resilience journeys. His work is directly responsible for helping MSPs and SMBs prevent, detect, and recover from cyber attacks. Ryan holds a seat on the Institute for Security and Technology’s Multi-Sector Ransomware Task Force alongside other global leaders, including Microsoft, Rapid7, and Citrix, where he represents the MSP community focusing on the cyber security interests and needs of SMBs. As a testament to Ryan’s deep commitment to safeguarding the world’s MSPs, he was recognized as a 2020 top 100 CISO by the Cyber Defense Awards.

Before joining Datto, Ryan spent 11 years securing enterprise applications, systems and sensitive customer financial data at FactSet Research Systems, where he orchestrated all facets of the global information security program. He holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Ithaca College, a M.S. in Information Assurance from Northeastern University and has industry security certifications including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
